Planet Knox

Based at the Derwent Mills Commercial Park in Cockermouth, NT Precision has supported other companies on the site. They were approached by Mr Geoff Travell of Planet Knox, manufacturers of impact protection systems, to manufacture tooling that made it easier to produce their protective body armour. The collaboration resulted in an improved finish for the components which were also produced more quickly and at less cost.

Cumberland Pencil Company

For the Cumberland Pencil Company, who are now moving to Lillyhall, NT Precision took two pre-war piece’s of machinery and changed their purpose to create two high speed burnisher’s for their pencil’s. The result was a much smoother pencil created from a faster process. Mr Clive Farrar said “we were delighted with the quality and service and hope to use them again when we eventually move the Derwent Brand into our new site at Lillyhall.”
